Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since late 1980s. Her work has earned her recognition for her TV and film performance since the 1980s. The awards she has won are two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett comes originally from New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett as well as her younger sister at the age of five old, emigrated away from the city of their birth to St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their separated father. When she was in high school Bassett was a spectator of John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided that she wanted to become an actor. In 1980, Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama conferred an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett in 1980. She attended the school following: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for the 8th and 9th grade in addition to Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading parts in the film Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
